Son miradas de niñas indígenas emberá del resguardo de La Puria, ubicado entre Antioquia y Chocó. En el año 2014, el fotógrafo Federico Ríos visitó la comunidad. Para llegar hasta allí hay que tomar un bus desde Medellín por varias horas, después un jeep por una trocha y luego caminar casi un día entero por la orilla del Bajo Río Grande. El caserío está inmerso en las montañas.

Es un grupo pequeño de chozas en las que humean fogones de leña, y desde las que se ve una curva de río de agua transparente y helada. En este lugar, un puñado de indígenas emberá se esfuerzan por sobrevivir cultivando plátano y caña.

Aunque Vorágine es una apuesta por la ilustración periodística, hoy les abre paso a estas reveladoras y bellas fotos que el reconocido reportero gráfico Federico Ríos generosamente cedió para que fueran publicadas.
